Rice Pudding

1/2 cup long grain rice
3 cups milk or cream (or combination of both)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tbsp butter

Combine all ingredients in an oven safe dish.  Bake at 300° for 1 hour.  Reduce oven to 250° and bake for an additional 1.5 hours. Serve topped with cinnamon if desired.
