It’s barbecue season and there’s nothing like the smell of a fresh & delicious burger being grilled on the BBQ. If you’re celebrating Canada Day with a backyard party or just getting together with friends & family this summer, change it up a bit and try this yummy Turkey Burger.
1 1/2 pounds twice-ground lean turkey
1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped mushrooms
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
2 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 egg, lightly beaten
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well blended. Shape into six patties. Grill (or broil) until juices run clear, about 5 minutes on each side. Serve on a fresh bun with all your favourite fixings!
